| AUTOBIOGRAPHY 2008-2009 Dargow - with detour explores the memory of a landscape by combining archive recordings of the author's relatives with present-day images from the surroundings of a village in Germany where she spent her childhood. In RAOS, daily reports of her search for work are narrated in the form of a monologue alternating with more general reflections on the world of work. The performative aspect is deepened in Nothing organic, a self-research of the body in several acts, based on a real event, creating a mini-performance on video. |

Dargow - with detour The video composition Dargow - with detour uncovers, as if it were an archaeology of images, the different layers of time inscribed in the landscape, in the atmosphere of the place and in the memory. For Rohweder, Dargow was the place of his childhood and youth, and the video is a collage of different layers of time. The images virtually connect distant periods, question the reception of the passage of time, investigate the possibilities of video for the representation of a place and its memory. Time becomes an image. And the image becomes the present. Given her training as a musician and composer, the artist continues to explore the fusion of the two disciplines: video and composition. The sensitive and sometimes disturbing look at the place and memories of childhood and the current and investigative but always emotional look with camera in hand make her work a temporary self-portrait through a landscape. |

When you see something threatened, when you sense something that prevents the usual constancy, this unconsciously causes a feeling of melancholy, of anticipated loss. And you value what before perhaps you were indifferent to or even disdained.
So isn't it the case that what you feel remembering - or how you remember this feeling - is rather what you feel now?
I have been looking for a job for four months now. In the meantime I have been working for two weeks in an advertising company as a receptionist. The company is known for its creative solutions. But I prefer working in conservative companies like law firms or real estate agencies: there is more respect for form.
The monologue together with the visual of factory buildings produces a strange mixture of moving images and static images that turns the projection screen into a canvas.

One day I lost consciousness in the middle of the street and woke up in an ambulance. I was taken to the hospital where I underwent various tests without finding anything special.
Two weeks later the symptoms returned and because of fear and insecurity I locked myself in my house for a few weeks. They repeated the tests on my heart and brain. But again they found nothing unusual.
